According to recent figures from industry analyst Forrester the market for private cloud solutions will grow from $7.8 billion in 2011 to $15.9 Billion in 2020 and the market for virtual private cloud solutions will grow from $7.5 billion to $66.4 billion.

Industry analyst firm Gartner says that most large enterprises see private clouds as their future. Choosing whether to invest in building a cloud service versus buying from a cloud service provider will become more challenging over the next few years.
